Common ragweed

First identify the weed/plant which will help with the life cycle then choose the correct herbicide or other control method.

  • Mechanical control: Physically removing the plants by pulling or cutting them.
  • Chemical control: Using herbicides like 2,4-D, Grazon, Curtail, or Weedmaster.
  • Biological control: Introducing natural enemies of ragweed, such as specific insects or pathogens.
  • Crop rotation: Crucial for breaking the weed’s life cycle.
  • Zero weed tolerance: Regularly removing ragweed plants.
  • Burning and electric weed zapping: Additional methods for organic farmers.
