A few control methods:

  • Pulling and mowing the weed during the first year when the plants are 7 to 10 inches tall and before the plants have gone to seed.
  • Digging and removing the tap roots for small infestations.
  • Tillage, which effectively and consistently controls wild carrot.
  • Herbicides at three stages of growth: seedling, over-wintered, and established plants.
